Demo Phase|Pre-Launch
We are pleased to announce that our platform is now in its demo phase. Sprout offers three free courses for our volunteer mentors with games and teaching templates available in our resource library. We currently have two schools in Phuket, Thailand, to join our platform where the students are excited to engage with future mentors and begin their learning journey.
As we continue developing the platform, your feedback is essential in ensuring it meets the needs of mentors, students, and faculty. We appreciate your patience, while we do have a waitlist for access, rest assured that we are working diligently to expand capacity in the near future.

Launch Phase (Soft Launch)
Sprout is expected to be in the Launch Phase by the end of 2025! We are in the process of developing multiple additions to enhance the platform's capabilities. Things that you may see include: Expanded selection of teaching courses, a growing resource library with more templates and games you can play with the students, and system enhancement aimed at improving stability and user experience.
Once Sprout has entered its Launch Phase, we will notify both our mentors and schools. We would like to explore opportunities to collaborate with like-minded organizations that align with our educational mission. This phase represents progress, not perfection and we invite you to explore the updates as they roll out and share your observations. Portal Launch in 2026
By 2026, Sprout is expected to achieve its full portal launch, offering a diverse range of mentor-led courses and an extensive resource library to support educators. We are designing Sprout to potentially connect schools and students across different regions, with the aim of reducing geographic barriers to education.
As a borderless platform, Sprout hopes to break down travel barriers, delivering meaningful educational opportunities to underserved communities. Our goal is to empower children by providing access to transformative learning experiences, helping them unlock their potential and build brighter futures.

Meet Our Founder
Rooted in Phuket, Driven by community impact.
Jane Darwin is a passionate advocate for education and community empowerment. With firsthand experience teaching English at a local school in one of Phuket’s Thailand most underserved communities, she observed the significant challenges facing many students and teachers: insufficient teaching resources, shortage of classroom support, and the limited availability of opportunities for creative learning.
Inspired by these challenges, and after further discussions with local educators and surveys with global volunteers, Jane envisioned a better way forward: a platform that connects global volunteers with students through safe, engaging virtual classrooms.
These first hand experiences formed the basis of Sprout. Early discussions exploring the needs with students, faculties, and global volunteers helped solidify the core mission: to bridge the gap in educational access and bring quality, skill-based learning to the communities that need it most. Through Sprout, she is creating a space where passion meets purpose, and where education becomes a tool for possibility, growth, and lasting changes.

How long does the onboarding process take?At Sprout, we like to make sure every volunteer is set up for success! The onboarding process usually takes 2-3 days, depending on how quickly you complete the steps (account setup, cultural training videos, vetting process by moderators). We’ll keep you updated every step of the way—no guessing games here!

When will I know if I’ve been accepted as a volunteer?We know waiting isn’t fun, so we’ll get back to you within 1-2 business days after you submit your application. If you’re in (and we’ve got a good feeling you will be!), you’ll get a welcome email with everything you need to start. Keep an eye on your inbox!

What teaching materials do I need to prepare beforehand?Don’t worry—we’ve got you covered! Our moderators will email you with topics the school and children are interested in under your chosen subject. Plus, we provide ready-to-use teaching templates with exercises so you can hit the ground running. Just bring your enthusiasm!

How do I book sessions on Sprout?Scheduling is a breeze! No problem—just give us at least 24 hours’ notice so we can adjust.

Does Sprout provide volunteer certificates?Yes! Once you’ve completed 8+ hours of volunteering with Sprout, you can request a verified certificate from your dashboard. It’ll include your name, hours contributed, and the dates of your service—perfect for resumes, school requirements, or just feeling proud of your impact. Have more questions?
